Things Kids Say Thursday #7

I have been keeping track of things that my kids say for a long time in a notebook, a piece of paper, iPhone notes, whatever I could grab the quickest. Here are some things that I my kids said this week. My intention is to write these quotes each Thursday, so come back to see what my little men have come up with next week.

Luke’s Quotes for the week: (He just turned 4)

Luke- (He put a soccer ball under his shirt), “Look Mommy, I am going to have a baby.”
_____________________________________________________

Luke- (We were at a party and he asks the DJ), “Can you play that Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) song, Party in the USA, I really like that song?”
____________________________________________________

Luke- While dancing to this song this is how he sings part of it, “Welcome to the land of fame and sex, am I gonna fit in?”
(The Lyrics actually read, and yes I had to look it up, are “welcome to the land of fame excess, am I gonna fit in?” He was close, we did have a little talk about that word and taught him the proper lyrics.)
Luke- (While I was teaching him the right way to sing it he sang), “welcome to the land of famous sex, am I gonna fit in?”
(After a little practice he got it, but he was pretty much right with the lyrics both times he just didn’t realize it.)
___________________________________________________

Luke- “Mom will the coyotes get me while I’m sleeping?”
Mom- “No, Luke they don’t come inside.”
Luke- “Just in case can Franklin (our dog), sleep with me?”
Mom- “Sure.”
__________________________________________________

Luke- “My dupa (Polish for bottom) has a problem.”
Mom- “What is the issue with your dupa?”
Luke- “I hurt it on that chair right there, and it will not stop throbbing.”

Will’s Quotes for the week: (He is two)

Will-“I want a Starbuck!”
(We were at HEB, and he meant “Buddy Bucks”, they are these fake dollars that they hand out to kids so they can win prizes in a machine on their way out.)
_________________________________________________________

Will- “Will the donkey bite me?”
Mom- “He might.”
Will- “If he bites me, can I bite him back?”
Mom- “Yes, but just this once.”
Will- “Okay, I will be ready.”
(He walks up to the donkey with his mouth open and chomping his teeth.)
_________________________________________________________

Will- “Okay everybody I am ready to drive Grandpa Charlie’s tractor.”
(He climbed up on his own because no one would listen to him, and he started singing very loud.)
Will- “Grandpa Charlie has a farm, E-I-E-I-O….”
_________________________________________________________

Will- (He is talking to his animals.) “I am Opitmus Prime, the best Transformer of all, do not mess with me cause I will defeat you.” (He is talking in his best Optimus voice, very loud and deep.)

I would love for you to start writing "Things Kids Say" on your blog, on Thursday's with me. I am going to see how it goes, and hopefully I can start a trend. Below is Mr. Linky, ladies and gentlemen get out your pens and keep track of all those quotes.

We have a song we sing in church in which the words are "God told lightning bolt where to go." (or something close.) My kids sing, "God told every lightning bulb where to go."

Those are too funny, especially 'famous sex' :) We've had a crappy week and if Noodle said anything funny I couldn't remember it if my life depended on it. Husband had the flu the end of last week and Noodle had it the beginning of this week. Lizard and I were spared luckily. Look forward to participating next week, though!

Okay, so you must be a Texan too if you have HEB! Most people don't even know what an HEB is, but I DO!!!

Woo hoo!

Happy Friday!

PS - I know that song.... "turn and holler to my girls all around me. Definitely not a Nashville Party... all I see is stallettos. Guess I never got the memo!"

Has mama been hitting up the Starbucks with the kiddos? Ah ha ha. I'm certain the dude is going to say Starbucks any day now! Right now he's really into plane and hot. Planes are everywhere and everything is hot. I choose to believe that he's using it in the right context when he points to me and says hot. Ah ha ha

Ha! Kids do say the darnedest things. I don't have kids, so I must live vicariously through other people's children's quotes!
