Things Kids Say Thursday #32

I have been keeping track of things that my kids say for a long time in a notebook, a piece of paper, iPhone notes, whatever I could grab the quickest. Here are some things that I my kids said this week. My intention is to write these quotes each Thursday, so come back to see what my little men have come up with next week.




Luke’s Quotes: (He is now 5 as of August)

(We were at mass on Sunday)

Luke- Mom, the Priest read from my gospel today, the Gospel according to Luke.

Mom- Yes they did, good job paying attention.

L- Why don’t they ever read from the Gospel according to Kate?

M- Because none of the gospel’s were written by girls.

L- Well that’s not fair.

L- I think I will stay home today and run errands with you and Will. I won’t miss anything at school. I already know all the stuff we do, even before we do it.

M- You still have to go.

L- Why?

M- Because if you don’t Mommy will go to jail.

L- For how long?

(I’m not sure but it sounded like he wanted to see if it would be worth it or not, but he went to school)

Will’s Quotes for the week: (He is three)


Will- Look Mommy I made you soup. It has grapes, pecans, macaroni and cheese, water and a pinch of salt. Here Mommy try it?

Mom- (makes a funny face).

W- What’s wrong, too much salt?

M- Yes, I think that is it.

W- I’m gonna go water that little plant over there so that it will grow bigger and bigger.

M- Okay.

W- (Pulls his pants down and “water’s” the plant) All done.

W- Can we have my play date with Noah in Hawaii?

M- I don’t think that is going to work out.

W- It’s okay just give him a call and tell him to just meet us there instead of my house. He won’t mind.
