We are currently a family of four, with two energetic boys, a wife and a husband, but I can't forget to include our other loyal companions, our two dogs and our fish. We have the best time and are enjoying raising our little family. Each day is an adventure mixed in with a disaster and sprinkles of blessings on top. We never know what is in store for us next. Most of our adventures we have endured are quite funny, but from time to time life hits us with a hard ball. This is when family is not only a blessing but a necessity.
Me
I am a 30 year old former teacher, but now a stay at home mother. I have lived in the same city all my life and grew up around the corner from my high school sweetheart, who is now my husband. I spend my days
The Husband
My husband is a hard working, Electrical Engineer. He is a wonderful father to our boys and they think the world of him. He is a loving husband who often tries to make my life easier, by helping out around the house. His job does require him to travel quite a bit and we miss him so much when he is away. Since we have known each other so long I have had the privilege of watching him grow into a man, not something every wife gets to experience. He enjoys spending time with the family, running, reading, and taking his boys out to do "boy" things. He is currently in Graduate school at Kansas State, but will hopefully be done soon! We cannot wait, now only if we could get the traveling to stop. Well, that may be a little harder!
Luke
Luke is our oldest son, who just turned five. He started Kindergarten this year, which was a big deal in our house. He is a very smart little guy, he always has been. He spoke very early in life and has not stopped since, literally, NOT stopped. He has the greatest ideas and outlooks on life. I cannot believe some of the things he comes up with, he amazes me everyday. Luke suffers from a disorder that I also have called, Neurofibromatosis, "NF". It is something that we continue to monitor and pray about everyday. You can learn more about this disorder and our family's story by clicking at the top of my blog, on the "NF" tab. Other than that he is just like every other little kid, healthy, happy and ready to take on what ever life throws at him!
Will
William or better know as Will, is our bouncy energetic three year old. He is always on the move and keeps us all on our toes. He is totally, and I mean totally different from his brother. He is infatuated with superheros, dinosaurs, airplanes, sports, animals, and anything that may potentiently make a mess. He often can be seen around town decked out in full costume of what ever he is into that week. He was a surprise package that joined our family, but what a great one, I thank God each day for bringing him into our lives. He has inspired me in so many ways, and even given me a book idea, called, William J. Wampus, Wampus being his nickname, it fits him perfectly. You can read about this book by clicking the tab at the top of my blog labeled, "William J. Wampus".
Our Pets
I cannot forget about these important members of of family, which are often topics in my posts. They make our family complete and we would not know what to do without them. Yes, they might get messy, cost us money, make us worry and at times be a lot of trouble, but so can our kids!
Liberty
Liberty is our 12 year old rescue dog. I got her when she was a puppy, and she has been with us though thick and thin. She is the most loyal dog, and keeps me safe when the husband is out of town. She has had her deal of adventures, which you can read about in my blog, one most recent which inloves, super glue.
Franklin
Franklin is our 6 year old floppy eared yellow lab. He is completely crazy, but we love him to pieces. He is the best family dog we could ever ask for. Our kids can crawl all over him and ride him like a bull and he eats it all up. I could have totally written the book, Marley and Me, from cover to cover. In fact, I wish I would have thought of the idea first. I could have even added a few more things. This dog, Franklin, is an adventure all by himself. I have written so many stories about him, I have not even been able to post them all.
Our Fish
The reason I title this our fish, is because we have had two and I am sure that we will have more. Our current fish is a beta, named Jack It, yes the kids named him. Even our fish have stories of their own. There is truly never a dull moment in our house!
Thanks for taking some time to learn about us, now go on and read some of our crazy stories. What makes them even crazier is they are all true!!
